SEVEN is the numerical symbol of completeness, fullness, and perfection – both physically and spiritually. The number 7 derives much of it’s meaning from being tied directly to God’s creation of all things.
Seven also symbolizes the unity of the four corners of Earth with the Holy Trinity. In the Bible, the number 7 is difficult to miss.
Fr. Francis, as you celebrate your 7th year as God’s ordained Minister, we at Birogs wish you God’s reserved best in all you do. We ask God for continued wisdom to lead His people, health in body, mind and soul, unrelenting faithfulness to God to accomplish His plan for your life, and to proclaim His name in all the Earth as you constantly teach and show His people how to chew their sticks every time. Amen.
Happy 7th Priestly Ordination Anniversary Rev. Fr. Francis Onugha.
Best wishes from the Birogs crew.
DAILY CHEWING STICK: AUGUST 2, 2015.
HAPPY 7TH PRIESTLY ANNIVERSARY TO ME:
How time flies, seven whole years just like yesterday. I can still remember vividly, the excitement cum anxiety THIS DAY OF 2ND AUGUST, 2008 AT ST. MARY’S CATHEDRAL, OKE PADRE.
The thought of being set apart for the Lord, without wife and biological children.
The thought of being called “REV. FR.” by young and old including my own parents.
The thought of always standing before large congregations preaching to them, and all sitting with rapt attention looking at me and nodding their heads in agreement.
The thought of getting up, even at MIDNIGHT when called upon for sick calls.
The thought of becoming A PUBLIC FIGURE, who will always comport himself becomingly by not talking “gashua” any how, not laughing to scatter, but laughing to gather no matter how funny the joke or situation may be.
The thought of walking like a priest, with high sense of dignity.
The thought of becoming ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN! The thought of being destructively criticized, misunderstood, misrepresented, misinterpreted by YOUR OWN PEOPLE.
The thought of people talking to God through me at the confessional, things ordinarily no ears should hear and no mouth should speak of.
Wowwww! This is A PRECIOUS AND SPECIAL GIFT (Priesthood); that God handed over to me in my unworthiness.
SEVEN YEARS GONE BY NOW, AND THE QUESTION I ASK MYSELF IS:
HOW CAN I REPAY THE LORD FOR HIS GOODNESS TO ME?
It has not been without hitches anyway, because there are the GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY SIDE OF EVERY VOCATION. Priesthood is not an exception, but in truth I tell you, NO REGRETS BECOMING A PRIEST. In fact, if I come to this world TEN TIMES again, I WILL STILL GO FOR PRIESTHOOD BECAUSE, TO DO THE WILL OF GOD IS MY DESIRE.
Brethren, THANK YOU for your prayers and kind gestures so far.
Do not rest on your oars in praying for me and all Priests.
May you all receive the Prophets’ reward for your love to your Priests, amen.
BE ASSURED OF MY DAILY PRAYERS AND MASSES FOR YOUR SPECIAL INTENTIONS.
God bless you all!!!
